Henry Buck Trail

So I finally got back out on a trail, it has been a while since my last blog post and a while since I have been out in the woods.   I have been fighting a bum foot for a month or so and yesterday was a good day to test it out with a short hike.  I chose to hike the Henry Buck Trail in American Legion State Forest because it has a pretty good variety of terrain and is only about 2 miles.  I have hiked this trail a few times before and enjoy the views once on top of the ridge.  It was a nice January day with sun and clouds and temps in the high 40’s.

The views from the ridge were nice with clear sky.   I sat for a bit and enjoyed looking out over the valley before heading back down toward the Farmington River.  Total miles for the day was 2 miles.  The foot held up pretty good and I am looking forward to getting back out.
